oh you mean like this one pyanodon/pypostprocessing@2bd0ae4 or the several other commits ive made to fix the start up errors with the dlc but no we are definitely ignoring the hell out of the dlc that hasnt been out for even a month and have been making updates every fucking day since release alongside all the work we did to get the mods updated to 2.0. we arent ignoring it but its an OVERHAUL and getting compatibility work takes fucking time. |

We are working on supporting Space Age, but I don’t think you understand how hard that is and why it will need us to make our own spin on the DLC. The problem is that Space Age is basically an overhaul mod for vanilla with more bells and whistles than mods normally get to add. It adds challenges and ideas to vanilla, but those challenges don’t mix well with Py. For example:
Since you played K2SE: it cost a lot of effort from the devs to make those two modpacks compatible. SE is incompatible with pretty much everything else. Space Age is no different. To give another example: I’m personally playing K2SEBZ, and I note that natural gas from BZ totally invalidates methane from SE as a mechanic. K2’s nerfs to nuclear means that natural gas burning is the only realistic power option until kovarex or more realistically space elevators and solar panels. This just illustrates how hard it is to balance modpacks together. The answer to your question is therefore a clear “No”, and we will not be doing this. Finally, I want to address the entitlement in your post. You did not pay the Py team any money, you paid Wube money for their DLC. We’re just some hobbyists that like working on this modpack in our free time. We do not owe you anything (before you ask, even if you become a Patreon we still do not owe you anything). Your question (“Why don’t you guys just make Py compatible with SA”) is somewhat valid, hence my answer above, but the tone is not. |

I think even if you could run the current Py mod set with Space Age active (which you can't), it's more of a waste than not being able to use it with Space Age. Shoving in a mod set that conceptually doesn't fit or work with the mechanics and balance of Space Age is much moreso a waste of money (and time) than either not purchasing Space Age, or purchasing it and playing without Pyanodons. |

If you expect us to just "develop space themed mod for additional content which is definitely no problem." you clearly have no idea what it takes to make and balance a mod. The attitude of "just get it done" isn't constructive. I will not entertain any issues raised with this mentality and a demanding and accusing tone. |

if you want it so bad, make the compatability yourself |

Looking back into v1 times I played mostly K2+SE+248k mod as a nice challanging bundle but now we have v2 and what want player play with v2? Exactly, Space Age, the new DLC.
It is well known that this DLC is not related to SE as it's is own addition to the game from Wube and because of this DLC (excl. all other ones here to) I've purchcased the Space Age expension but not for the entire purpose that this extensin gets ignored by dev's in general as they intent to implement there own solution for a space themed mod here.
Tbh but such honorable intension can be developed for v1 times but for v2 time I expect nothing else as an on top of the Space Age DLC develop space themed mod for additional content which is definitly no problem.
I silently sneak peeked without SA into this overhaul mod but I can not deal with it to loose the ability to play with Space Age as this feels totaly like wasted money even if I can use over an additional mod elevated rails but they are usless at this point since we all are aware to create a flat 2D working trains system, even without mods like LTN.
I request to this to revert pyanodon/pypostprocessing@d565171 and instead focus first on supporting it. It's definitly worth the effort and can then later be combined with an own upcoming space themed mod for this mod-suite.
For now it is a shame that I am forced out of the pyMods as long as this isn't resolved because I wanted to use this time another overhaul combination compared to at last K2+SE even if they would be available for v2.
I hope that you can somehow understand my pov since we all have paid full price for this variation of Factorio. Pleas re-think over this important point, thanks.
