I don't see anything in docs and I am struggling to get it to work locally. My team uses a pyrightconfig in git for linting consistency. It works well in VSCode but my Zed basedpyright is not applying those settings.

I noticed a dot before the filename in your issue title. According to the basedpyright documentation, the file is expected to be named pyrightconfig.json without a leading dot. Pyright has the same expectation. So maybe in Visual Studio Code things happened to work despite the configuration file not being used. 🙃
