Currently it is possible to install the same device to the same organization several times with different hostnames. This causes ghost devices to the device registry for example if admin does not remove the device from the registry before reinstalling it. On PXE boot installation this is typically not a problem as bootserver prevents this from happening, but installing via USB stick causes this issue.
Better behaviour would be to tell the user that the device (with same mac address or perhaps even serial number) already exists and guides the user to do something about it before continuing.
