How to plot 3D plasma geometry?

After seeing Sabine Hossenfelder's YouTube video Meet the Reactors Set to Upend Nuclear Fusion, I was fascinated by the curious geometries of reactor plasma (and other things, as well).

I know very little about physics, a bit about math, and a bit more about computing. I suspect I could use vmecpp to generate the geometry of plasma and I'd like to know how I could plot it, and maybe even 3D print it.

I see some plotting in the examples directory and I'm sure many folks have plot vmecpp output. What do you recommend I start "playing" with to produce interesting looking plasma plots using vmecpp? Is there a "gallery" of vmecpp plots?

I proposed a first example script, which showcases how to plot the plasma boundary geometry in 3D, in #283 .
Does that suit you as a starting point?
