Description
Hi ProcessOut team,
I’m encountering an issue with the credit card scanner on iOS related to camera permissions:
On first use, if the user denies camera access, attempting to open the card scanner again causes the bottom sheet to open and immediately close. The user receives no explanation or guidance, effectively making the scanner unusable unless they already know to enable camera access in iOS Settings.
Expected behavior:
If camera permission is denied or restricted, show a clear message explaining that camera access is required for the card scanner, with guidance on how to enable it in iOS Settings (e.g., Settings > Privacy > Camera > App).
Optionally provide a “Go to Settings” action that deep-links to the app’s Settings page.
Repro steps:
- Launch the scanner for the first time
- Tap “Don’t Allow” on the camera permission prompt
- Try opening the scanner again → bottom sheet opens and closes immediately
Thanks for your work on this library! Let me know if you need more details or a sample project to reproduce.
