Printing to console

Hi!

I cant print to console from a component.

I have tried
import static processing.core.PApplet.println;
.. ...

println("whatever")

and

System.out.println("whatever");

Another question that I was trying to solve:
Does a component no connected to the output run/use resources?

They both work and a component not conected to the output is not executed :D (sorry)

setup and draw are triggered by a downstream component requesting render, so will not be called if not connected. They will also not be called if connected but the downstream element doesn't need the output (eg. Video xfader or switch)

init and update are called outside of the rendering context. You cannot draw in them. They are executed even if no output is connected.
