Deploy with Posit Publisher button only shows on Quarto documents

I'm not sure if this is a configuration issue on my end. When I attempt to deploy a shiny app.r file I get an error: Unable to detect r interpreters

Do you have R installed locally? Are you able to run R in the VS Code terminal?

We just released version 1.16.1 of the Posit Publisher extension that had some fixes to how we handle Windows filepaths. Would you mind checking if you get the same behavior on the latest release?

For me, version 1.16.1 fails to fully start. It appears to be endlessly scanning the directories and the output channels show no logs, meaning I have been unable to test if the behaviour has changed.

Try giving Positron / VS Code a restart, or using the command palette to "Reload Window". Sometimes upgrading can cause this.

Restarting/ reloading Positron and reinstalling version 1.16.1 of the extension had no effect; it still just says scanning directories.

I have been able to run and deploy after reverting back to 1.8.0 of the extension.
