Mediatek WiFi and Bluetooth broken on Linux 6.18 (fixed in 6.19)

Description:

Mediatek WiFi and Bluetooth chipsets currently have major connectivity issues when running Linux 6.18.

Symptoms include:

WiFi instability or inability to connect
Frequent disconnects
Bluetooth pairing failures or random disconnects.

The issue appears to affect several Mediatek chipsets (e.g. MT7921 / MT7922).
Testing shows the problem is resolved in Linux 6.19, where updated Mediatek drivers fix the regression.

Recommendation:

Systems currently using Linux 6.18 should upgrade to Linux 6.19 as soon as possible to restore stable WiFi and Bluetooth support.

I also experience this issue, good to hear it is fixed in a future kernel. When waking from sleep the wifi is not working and cant find any networks. I've not experienced any issues with my bluetooth mouse.

i've used Google Gemini to help me narrow down my issue, the following is what i've found with its help.

i'm not dual booted, nor have i enabled fast boot in the BIOS. the powersaving configuration is already set to wifi.powersave = 2 (instead of 3)
for now a consistent workaround seems to be running the following command:

sudo modprobe -r mt7921e && sleep 5 && sudo modprobe mt7921e

EDIT: i've just experienced this issue mid-working, quite annoying. i've also made sure to look at the kernel logs this time.
it seems that this occurance of the issue was caused by roaming.

the workaround as posted above did fix the issue, for now.
