calibration issue

Hi ,
I am running python-whiteboard 1.0.3.deb on my linux machine (14.04.3 LTS) .. there is no issue in connection process .
but once on calibration screen it seems that python-whiteboard is not detecting the ir points .

i have tested my setup on windows with the same IR pen , wiimoteplus and smoothwhiteboard software it is working fine .

kindly help me out .

I am only a user like you, but I could tell you that even though Python-whiteboard is old, it is still working. I am using the package on Raspbian Jessie and I also have tried it on Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS, it works fine with no bugs and errors.

I downloaded it via terminal: apt-get install python-whiteboard

@Jayce08 : well i am writing this after 20+ testing over linux setup ... but no luck .
how can i debug the root cause .. any specific logs .

using my camera i can see that IR is visible at calibration point but it is stuck on the first point and not moving for next point

@addictedcoder0 Well, I am no expert but it is on either of these 2 possible scenarios :

1.) If on over 20+ testing and it fails, the problem is on the image / OS itself. Maybe an upgraded package/s or library or dependency caused it to fail. (It is supposed to be working on a Linux unit though.)

2.) It is due to the external limitations. A wiimote software works differently on ARM and on windows. The full capability of a wiimote whiteboard doesn't work as accurately on ARM as it is on windows (Base from my research and experience, I used the smoothboard too when on my windows and other wiimote softwares). So it could be on the ambiance of the room, the specs of the IR led, the display you are projecting the image (I find it works better on a 'white' flat surface rather than a rough dark colored surface.), it could also be because of the positioning of the wiimote and more.

I am currently using this software for classroom presentations, so I can tell you I'm updated regarding the matter.
