I need help with setting understanding and setting up a pvp server for me and my friend

As the titel explains i need some help to figure this out, we have both tried to do everything as the guides tell us, but we have the issue that now my friend cant even connect to the game, even if we have set up the Baseip and everything for me to be the Host, so either there is something wrong with the way we try it or i am diffently not a computer nerd and can figure this out on my own, any help will be taken with open arms so i can smash my friend in duals and have fun with him

It's very hard for me to help you as this obviously depends on specific IP addresses, what your network setup looks like, etc. All information I don't know. The guide works if you follow it but is easy to mess up if you deviate from it.

So what our Issue is that, i have setup everything as in your guide has told me for both Lan and Wan setup, and so has my friend, and he has even set his BaseIP to what is supposed to be my IPV4 Adress, but he gets the error now that the game wont even let him connect,

but would it be posible if you could guide me little bit about what we need to change in order to make it work or what we should setup, we both have done all changes in both Settings and Clientsettings

and when ever we try to make a PVP room, and the other enters the room ID it wont Join the room, i am not sure if we are doing something wrong with the whole thing in general

Is this over LAN or over the internet? If it's over the internet what IP are you using? Your public IP address? Or are you using a tool like Hamachi? If you're using your public IP address have you port forwarded using your router? Home routers have are behind a firewall so people often use tools like Hamachi which allows for direct connections without exposing ports.

we are trying to do it over the internet, i have done that firewall thing where you put the Baseport code and SessionserverPort codes in, if this is what you ment with forwarded using my router then i think so, if no that is not how i did it then i have no idea how to do so or how it should work, this is all very new for me to try and do

You might find it a little easier to set up mdpro3. If you haven't heard of it, it's ygopro but with Master Duel assets (looks almost identical to master duel) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFjkefb0wME it's easier to set up than YgoMaster for the networking.

You can't directly connect to home user IP addresses over the internet without using something called port forwarding. Port forwarding is something you configure on your router. Though port forwarding generally isn't recommended these days. Tools like Hamachi / Tailscale allow for direct connections without using your home IP address. if i wanted to check out Mdpro3 will we be able to do stuff like play with banned cards and so just like in your Ygomaster?

and what is that Hamachi? and would it be posible we could connect with eachother if we used that insted?

Yes mdpro3 has all cards available including cards not in Master Duel such as newer sets and even pre-release cards which have been announced in the OCG but not officially released.

It's a tool that allows you to directly connect to other users without having to use port forwarding. You're best off asking AI / google about this as it's a very generic question.

This is a question you could just search on google or ask an AI bot. Yes it is safe and a good way to connect to avoid port forwarding. I've already said this 2 times in this issue.

You will need to alter what IP is used based on what IP is in hamachi.

When have it set up correctly you can just create a room and the other player can join that room by viewing the room list. The reason it wasn't working for you before is because you haven't been able to set up the networking correctly.

If you can achieve smooth PVP between two computers connected to the same router(LAN), by using the ZeroTier to create your own cloud virtual router and adding both your and your friends' computers to this virtual LAN, then you can play together.
