Integration with a persistent cache

Would be sweet if in the check mode this would read from/write to the eslint cache (or create a similar paradigm), so that you don't have to always check all the files when you want parallelism.

I also think this would be a really great idea. I want to leverage esprint during pre-commit hooks etc, but linting files unnecessarily seems a waste.

IDE's/Editors such as VSCode already have caching and a continuous runner built in so it doesn't make sense to use esprint there (I use eslint_d with SublimeText personally). But as soon as you're outside them esprint becomes really useful.
