Feature request: transparent/no number background

Would prefer the option to not have a background shape for in the expanded mode. In the settings it looks like number background None is an option that I guess may be related to previously supporting this, but it doesn't appear to do anything and when I skim through the css I see no references to this value.

if you add two zeros ex:(#00000000) at the end of custom background color option it becomes transparent or you can change it 50 for half transparency.
