WSJT-X does not work on Windows 7

I think the Qt library is too new. The source website uses the right Qt version and runs on windows 7 (wsjtx-2.6.1) but the modified for_UVK5 does not.

Get the error "The procedure entry point CreateEventA could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll"

I tried installing the redistributable pack for VS. 2015-2022 and the earlier now un-supported version. No joy.
