Hey @mscroggi, I may not be fully understanding the issue. Could you share a short 10–15 second video showing what happens now and what behavior you expect? |

@devvaannsh thank you for responding!. Sorry I didn't convey what I was asking about very well.. Here is a demo of what I am asking about: Sample text: Column select the 3344' for three rows in the data above The block of text copied is - Paste into the text below: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX ^^^ Current Behavior - Pasting the block in the middle of row 3, the paste inserts newlines for each line in the block XXXXXXXXXXXXXX ^^^ Desired outcome - Paste (in column mode) into the data but the block data is maintained and inserted as a block |

Phoenix does everything I need nicely.. One thing that I would really like to have changed is the behavior of copy / paste in column mode. Selecting a column block is great and works perfectly.. The issue is paste.. if I select a block.. move to a line to insert the block, it will insert the block but not in block mode.. meaning that newlines are inserted after each line of the block.
I searched out that I could select a range of cursors and paste.. but that pastes the block on each line cursor over and over. .
Did I miss an ability to do what I want?
The behavior I am looking to re-create is the block mode in the Linux KDE Kate editor..
Any help is appreciated
