Pen sounds glitchy on macOS

Basic information:
MacOS 15.3.1, Apple Silicon M2
NOT built from source, downloaded Release V2024.12.26

Description:

The pen sounds (and seemingly only the pen sounds) are glitching out; popping, pausing, as if the pitching up and down was messing with it. "Drawer" sounds and "Alert" sounds are seemingly unaffected.

Yet to see if it's similar on iOS, will build in the morning

Expected:

The sounds pitch up and down without glitching

Reproduce:

Turn on Emulator, tap any button on screen that causes the pen sounds to play

Possibly related to issue #18 and maybe even PR #180, though I think the latter is mostly limited to PulseAudio implementation under Linux.

@iilme I'm curious whether short vs long clicks (so the duration of the mouse button being held down) result in the same issue or not.

Seems like they both do the same thing, @morgant. Haven't yet had the time to build on iOS, terribly sorry.

Tried my best to build it for iOS, but failed miserably (I can't use Xcode for the life of me) but a Linux build did indeed show that the Pulse version doesn't glitch or break or anything like that.

However, change the resolution in any way from the defaults given and the boot chime truncates again. And that applies to both the MacOS Core version and the Linux Pulse version. I can kind of understand why that would mess with it(? kinda) but knowing some, they might want to build a PDA running Einstein with a higher res screen and, well, have issues.
