        <p>Welcome to my website! My name is Philipp Blume, and I am a composer (Ph.D., UC Berkeley 2006), as well as a software developer-in-training.</p>
        <p>I have a 'deep' background in music, and one of my principal career goals is to combine this knowledge with an understanding of how people interact with information in the 21st century. Ideally, I will work to improve people's access to music they have never heard and didn't know they were missing, compelling them to think about what role music should play in their lives and in their society.</p>
        <p>This page is intended to inform you about my music and my coding projects, and how they intersect. Each project is given its own window, and you <span class="zap">can</span> will be able to filter them according to your interests. I also maintain a blog, in which I will go into some depth on how the projects are all connected.
