Format of Saves

What is the format of the .save files? They seem to be serialized.

haven't done much work in that area, but as far I see it's a fairly simple text format, however using BinaryWriter https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.io.binarywriter?view=net-5.0 for persistance.
