Here's the publisher feedback from Jan 2022:

  • Move by clicking anywhere. If ambiguous, select meeple - we are really finding this essential and we would really like to have a small state to select a meeple in case of ambiguity. This can be done simply with the client states described here
  • Mobile scroll doesn't work - you cannot pan the play area up, I believe, when using mobile phones.
  • stairs need to work by clicking on the field on the other side - to be consistent with other movements and not to confuse players. Clicking on stairs also work and can stay there
  • Player avatars around the play area, so it is easy to find who moves where and easy to alert them - we would need to give you the design for this, but the idea is to have all the player avatars around the board in the direction they can move the meeples and clicking on this avatars would give red pawn to that player to alert him. This would really ease the parsing for the players as it will be obvious which player to alert. We still need to decide how to represent people who can move over stairs and with the teleporter. Please wait with this feature until we define this and send you the design
  • Remaining tiles number - this happened to be important during play as we haven't got an idea how much exploring we still need to do
  • Hard to see meeples when the board is large - this one can be hard to solve, but we will try to give you a solution, one would be to make them pulse a bit (like small half a second pulse (making it bigger and back) and then around 2-3 seconds of pause to not annoy the players), but look below
  • Preference for removing red flashing ring (just red border without flash) - we need preference to remove red border blinking for people that cannot look at fast moving things. The same can be used for making meeples more visible, but maybe we need a better approach for meeple visibility anyway. For handling user preferences see here.
  • Sounds would help on specific events, specifically teleport, meeple exit and extra time - I would say we need sound for: teleport, meeple in their shop, meeple exit, added extra time and alert. We will provide you with the sounds. For enabling sounds in BGA games please look here.
  • When a meeple reaches its "exit", it can be moved outside the game interface (= slide + disappear) - this will help in emphasizing this event
  • Teleport can be make more visible if the meeple is animating during the move to be bigger, then smaller (like if you take it and put it back) - this will help in emphasizing this event
  • Timer can be bigger. When you get extra time, there could be some additional visual hint (to discrete at now)
  • It would be really great if the tiles are animated when they are moved from one player to another (on timer event) - this would be very useful as players were not aware that this happened. This will be solved with the player avatars explained above as we can animate them when the tiles change, but it should also be animated in player panels to help players see what is happening.

I've dumped them all into this one big issue but if any of them are being worked on they can easily be split into a subissue.
