Issue with smartobjects

Hi Patrick
Great library!
I've been testing it, and it works well, it is a very elegant solution :)

It does not work with smartobjects though (e.g. **HEIGHT-PIXELS is not a queryable attribute for PROCEDURE widget. (4052)) ; I'm using pure4GLTV and a custom progress bar smartobject.

Could resizABLe be made funcional using the standard Smartobjects API for position and resize?

What do you think Patrick?

Yes, it is probably doable, but to be honest I am not very familiar with ADM in general. At the moment I am working on a project that has a lot of ADM1 code, but I am not a big fan of it. Could you send me a simple example with a pure4GLTV in it (preferrably against Sports or without db connection) then I can take a look. Or do you have ideas how to fix this?

I took opportunity to override the default behaviour through the PRIVATE-DATA of the widgets and frames, to dis/enable the horizontal and vertical resize.

Hi JC, Thanks for your code. I tried it with some programs and as long as it is not ADM, it seems to work fine. However, with my AMD-1(!) windows I get an error on resizing frames: This comes from the resizing on line 225, resizing the virtual frame. The code has set the scrollable for the parent frame to true and then tries to resize the child frame, which has not been set as scrollable. But I think this code is not even needed. Line 203 - 209 handle embedded frames by calling the resizeFrame routine recursively so the child frame will be handled there. From my PEG archive I learned that ADM-1 is different from ADM-2 with regard to resizing. ADM-2 has some additions like resizeObject for Dynamics but does not really use it extensively, so it seems. Anyway, if I resize the window, nothing happens. I assume that I would have to do some checking to find out whether ADM-1 or 2 is running. That leads me to questioning whether we are solving the resize issue the right way. What I do now is resize everything proportionally. That is, if the window grows by 10%, I let all widgets (except some types) also grow with 10%. Wim van der Ham already showed me an example of how this does not work if you have text literals that function as labels, see below. Left the original frame, right after resizing I already added some code to 'anchor' a widget to another widget and that seems to work, but wouldn't a solution where the resizing was based on anchoring instead of proportionally resizing be a better one? You would have to define to what side of the window/frame the widget should be anchored. I did not know there was resize logic in the adm-2 code, so I will see how Progress solves this.

I got the bug you mention with the child frame. I fixed this in the attached file.

I have no ADM1 here, only ADM2.
However as requested, here is an example with Pure4GLTV & Pure4GLProgressBar:

It works great with my modifications! 😀
(and I'm using the private data stuff in the [+10%] button)
