Window & Door detection turns on thermostats if previous state was off

Hi,

I'm using this blueprint primarily for the Window & Door automation. I noticed that, if the thermostats were previously set to off, the automation starts all thermostats in that group to the desired temperature whereas it should takethe last state of the thermostat.

Ok, you've enabled legacy restore which means the automation doesn't reset the old states of your thermostats but executes the logic which sets the thermostats to eco or comfort temperature depending on the entity states.

Yeah, I tried also without the option enabled but with the same results as described above.

For me it works like expected. Please turn off legacy mode. Turn off your thermostat, open you window at least for the defined reaction open duration, close it and wait until the thermostat turns on. Then just share the latest (3) trace logs.

You can also try to disable the automation and create a scene in the developer tools in the service view when the thermostat is off. Then try to apply the scene and look if the thermostat stays off or enables heating by itself. Some thermostat have issues when their states got recovered by a scene.

I think you're right. There's something weird with these thermostats (Aqara SRTS-A01).
I activated a previously created scene (applied to a group of thermostats) and all started heating althouh in HA they show as off.

I created two helpers and these two automations seem to do the trick (since all 3 thermostats are in a group and "synced" its enough to fetch the state/temp of the first one):
