Is there some example using NavigationAgent2D with TileMapDual?
Im making a rpg and i want to move the player using the left click mouse.

TileMapDual is an extended TileMapLayer, so I would expect it to work in the same way.
Can you please give more info on what you expect to do with it?

I'm also running into this issue. I'm not sure I can quite follow the example you link to there, I might be misunderstanding but it feels like the video doesn't show what the text is talking about?

My problem is that this is how I would typically bake in navigation. I'd have nodes set up like this:

and the code would have something like this:

The navigation region looks at the tiles with navigation layers and then creates a more sensible nav landscape. You then have to disable the navigation on the tilemap itself. Now, this doesn't quite work with TileMapDual because the "Display" map that is added as a child to the main TileMapDual at run time has navigation enabled by default. This results in nav meshes looking like this:

Running traversible._display.world.navigation_enabled = false at runtime doesn't seem to disable the navigation layer on the _display layer, I'm not sure why.

You'll also note that the navigation is offset by half the tile width and height:

I think this is intentional on behalf of TileMapDual, but I'm not sure how to set things up so that the Display navigation is no longer offset.

Apologies if this doesn't quite make sense, I'm new to tilemaps and navigation and kind of winging it. Any help would be appreciated.

Adding navigation_enabled = false to the _init of DisplayLayer fixed part of my issue. And then manually readjusting the navigation layer so it aligns with actual sprite on each tile seemed to partially fix part my other issue, but I can't help but feel I'm doing something wrong. It would be nice if the display layer had navigation disabled by default, or at least have it as an option for the user

Hi there! thanks for exposing the problem so clearly.
I would try to define the navigation layer not per specific tile but per terrain type, as hinted in the video. That way we don't have to deal with the displayed tilemaps. If DisplayLayer inherits navigation_enabled from TileMapDual at tilemap updates we are dealing with tilemap displacements and that becomes quite harder. But if you think this is doable please let us know, that could be interesting.
