Spidey/Splign

Hi Owen, thanks for developing PerlPrimer

I have recently come to know that the spidey program is no longer available from the NCBI website, as the program itself has ben substituted by a new aligner named splign.
Luckily spidey is still present in the ncbi-tools package of somewhat old distributions (e.g. Ubuntu 16.04).
Do you plan to adjust the code so that it can use the new splign program from NCBI in the future?

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for the info -- I wasn't aware that spidey had been discontinued (I've had it installed for such a long time now). I'll take a look into splign and see how compatible it is, but it shouldn't really be too much of a problem.
