[BUG] When I try to add a new space, if the space already exists on Lavender Book, the site does not behave as expected

If I try to add a new space to Lavender Book, one of two things happens, neither of which are expected.

Steps to reproduce:

• Try to add a new space: "Coffy Cafe" in Washington DC.
  

• The space does not appear in the listed results, and it does not tell you why (the "why" is because the space already exists).
  

Steps to reproduce the other issue:

• Try to add a new space: "Calabash Tea & Tonic" in Washington DC.
  

• Calabash Tea & Tonic appears as an option, even though it is already listed on Lavender Book.
