Timeline of the changes: discussing the possibilities #2
Description
It would be nice to have a timeline of the changes after the session is closed (#1). Similar to what code.yandex-team.ru does.
We expect that after closing the session the user is able to use a timeline by seeking it and looking in the past to see the changes to the document. It should look like a familiar playback timeline in music players.
code.yandex-team.ru also has a feature when you can press «play» and it automatically previews all the changes as users typed in. We don't need that at the moment for the MVP of the feature. Just the manually scrollable timeline is enough.
We don't have ideas at the moment on how to store the timeline. Or how exactly show it to the user. We are open to suggestions. This issues serves as an entrypoint for the discussion on how to make this feature possible. Feel free to propose:
- database changes
- mockups of the interface changes
- implementation plan
