Usage Instructions Unclear

I went step by step in the readme file.
In usage instructions we have the following:

from allsight_interface import AllSight
 
allsight = AllSight(dev_name=device_id, serial='/dev/video')
allsight.connect()
allsight.show_view(ref_frame=allsight.get_frame())

but we haven't installed allsight_interface and it isn't clear which pacakage is supposed to be used (there is no such file in the root directory)

Thanks for pointing this out. I’ve added the missing package installation instructions.
I’ll be able to fully test everything in about a week.

Just a note...the repo is pretty outdated. If you plan to run the full data-collection pipeline (ROS support, etc.),
I recommend using a mambaforge setup similar to this example or any equivalent workflow:

Thanks for the quick response. I'm not using ROS, I'll be using the Python libraries directly since our application is more on the touch sensing side of research.
There were a few other issues such as unintialised packages, etc. In the end I got the github copilot agent to setup the repo on my pc in under an hour with minimal input from my side

Are there pretrained models available for the white LED config?

Glad to hear you got everything set up. Unfortunately, I don’t have pretrained models for the white-LED configuration.
The dataset itself is available here, which should help if you plan to train your own models:
