Official flight plan prefile web form

The official web flightplan prefile form could benefit from some developer love for usability and guidance and I'd like to offer my help.

Some frontend ideas:

• we should be able to save airframes as presets and be able to use them to fill type/WTC/equipment/transponder.
• toggle FAA/ICAO via radio button and show relevant fields/explanations then.
• the equipment codes should have explanation or even better a little wizard
• VFR should not have to file the route field and allow altitude="VFR"
• how to file Y-/Z- flight plans? That possibility has vanished at some time

And backend:

• Add new fields for FAA/ICAO equipment. Deprecate the current mixed one because it is unnecessarily hard to process it.
• altitude fields should allow to file A(ltitude)/F(light levels)
• Internationalization: should allow metric counter parts for cruise levels (M/S) and speed (K) but that could also just be a frontend thing.

I don't know which tech you use. I do backend (mostly PHP/MySQL, TYPO3, Laravel) and frontend (mostly CSS, TypeScript, Web Components, webpack/rollup/grunt) professionally. Please approach me if I can help.
