4.0.0 upgrade changes

The provided migration guide does not seem to provide anything of usefulness when migrating from 3.7 to 4.0.

It is not clear what exactly I need to update in my docker compose file to get this working again. Currently it cannot find any of the directories for the data, despite no indication from the current docker-compose project that any paths have even changed.

Is there a top level overview of how any file paths for the storage and config folders have changed between the two releases so i can figure out how to map that on to my container?

No config paths or storage paths have been changed. That would have been mentioned in the upgrade guide.

Thank you very much for clarifying. Sounds like I have some troubleshooting to do. Navigating into the container with docker compose exec opencloud /bin/bash shows that the directories exist so I'm not sure what the deal is. If I find something noteworthy I'll reply back but most likely this is an isolated issue to my configuration. It's just weird it broke with no changes to anything on my system.

having focused this issue down, it appears the data folder databases got corrupted and that is why the service started no problem but could not find the data paths.

I deleted the data folder so it could be regenerated from scratch and set back up my users then copied the data back into the respective folder matching the structure it was before.

in doing so now i have a problem where opencloud doesnt want to access the data - something akin to issue #1861

Any help would be appreciated. I get an error ERR Resource info is missing checksum but really the web app is displaying these messages

@Derbicus when you copy data around, you need to also copy the extended attributes.

What I am still failing to undertstand: is it just the log line what was bothering you, or did you have real problems?

It's a few real problems:

1. For some reason my instance database got messed up - resulting in opencloud not able to properly pull the data sources. The data is still there. For this i effectively reset my instance by deleting the data source and copying it back into a new user file. To your point i am now unable to access the files that are copied. Even copying the extended attributes the "Resource not found" error remains. I am unsure how to correct this, as I feel like i'm spinning my wheels trying to piece together a broken instance just for other pieces to fail.
2. Collabora no longer works as of 4.1. If i navigate to the URL it returns "OK" but the editing of files online or creation of new files seems be missing from the webUI

Collabora is definitely a separate issue and solution so I'm trying to focus on getting my setup stable first. Is there a more proper procedure for manually adding data to an instance of opencloud? I do not want to have to manually upload everything using the web interface for each user, that adds significantly more work to rebuild this.

Ok. We need more Information. There is no database in openCloud. So we need to understand better how your setup has been updated. Can you describe the exact steps what you did in which order?
