Local preview error

I followed the steps to install from scratch. When I try to run npm run dev I get the following error. I verified the requirements in my GO, Hugo (extended version), and npm in my macOS installation. Here is the error

ERROR TOCSS-DART: failed to transform "hb/scss/index.scss" (text/x-scss): got unexpected EOF when executing "sass". The user running hugo must have read and execute permissions on this program. With execute permissions only, this error is thrown.

Seems you don't have correct permission for dart sass CLI, how do you install the Dart Sass?

Node.js sass (npm install sass) is known doesnt support Hugo, since it lack of embeded protocol implementation.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did follow the previous thread here and installed Sass. I verified that it is present in /usr/local/bin and that directory in in PATH. I am still getting this same error.

Do you install the Dart Sass via Homebrew?

I would suggest searching something like Dart Sass permission on Hugo forum to get more informations.
