Garden keybinds feature

Hey, i am wondering if this garden keybind feature already works? because im looking into this feature right now and can't seem to get it to work in any way, is there some kind of option i am missing?

I have made a feature like this for myself and i have the code that makes it work (it switches the key of my spacebar and left mouse button) if you want i can give u the code but i have no idea if it will work or not since the mod i made it for is for 1.8.9 and i dont have that much experience coding mods.
