So what is that hype all about?

I get it, starting on discord, everyone seems excited about this.
However, I have no idea what this is all about. There is no dummy-friendly explanation given what to expect from this, what it does, what it is good for. I suspect anyway this is not for Base44 users on Free or Starter plan, as I foggily recall there is no backend services for these (?).

In general I find for a platform which is supposedly made for people with no coding skills (like dummy me), to get the coding done by A.I., the communication reads quite coder-heavy anticipating everyone and his mom would understand everything right out of the box. This is wrong.

Wrong I would like to be, too. I'd like to be happy about the new stuff, if I only knew if it applies to me and what for. Particularly for game development.

In short: Base44 builds apps, and this lets you use the same powerful backend on its own. It’s the same backend that already runs many production Base44 apps - handling data, users, permissions, and server-side rules but now you can rely on it even when you don’t want Base44 to generate the full app UI for you.

In practice you can still let Base44 build full apps end-to-end, like before of course, but now you can also bring your own frontend (custom UI, existing app, external client, AI agent) and use Base44 purely as the backend. Either way, you don’t build or manage servers, databases, or backend code.

Why people are excited?

• It works extremely well with AI tools and agents (it's really crazy to see it in action)
• It means the same “behind-the-scenes” behavior can now be used even when Base44 isn’t building the screens
• It unlocks use cases where the backend is shared, reused, or called from outside Base44
  and more..

Thank you for the explanation. What is left to ask is, does a Starter Plan customer like me have access to this or is my original assumption correct that this is something for the 'upper class' Base44 customers on Builder Plan and higher?
