Helm chart availability

It seems to me that this operator assumes an installation via the openshift operator marketplace, would it be possible to have a vendor-independent deployment option like a helm chart? (or instructions on how to perform such deployment)

OLM is an upstream component that can be deployed in any kubernetes environment. Please try the linked documentation to get it deployed.

Finally, the suggestion for a helm chart is an excellent one, and I definitely welcome contribution :)

In the meantime I've found this project: https://github.com/arttor/helmify which can generate an acceptable starting point for a helm chart, so I'm going to use this for the time being. Thanks!

Ok, it seems to have capabilities to integrate with the operator-sdk. I might give it a try later on.

I'd rather keep this issue open until we provide a helm chart. Thanks
