Coral TPU supported?

Hello, is Coral TPU supported to offload CPU processing?

I have ambitious plans to help support Coral TPU, as I bought one too--at this point it would be helpful to have support and coordinate with other developers. I have more knowledge of the Hailo platform at this point, even though that is not super extensive.

Actually, I got this working today -- same version of lightNVR --> updates made to light-object-detect: opensensor/light-object-detect#1

I got my coral tpu working on a rpi5 thanks to your question/discussion and a bit of work! Also thanks to frigate's code for some examples.

The lightNVR detection architecture is to offload detections via API, and the support API is light-object-detect, which now supports coral TPU.

Wow thank you! I'm trying to run this as a container in unRaid. Do you know what I need to do to enable this? I can pass the usb device to the container.

You'd have to run light-object-detect in the same network zone that lightNVR could curl/request detection processing of images from the camera stream. You are on the right track that you'd have to pass the deice through to the container -- but the other half of the puzzle is https://github.com/opensensor/light-object-detect
