Hey, hope you’ve figured it out, but if not, here’s what worked for me.
The issue I had was that I was using a .yml file for Docker Compose to bring up my Postgres container, but that file was mounted from my Windows host (I mounted a "sharedfolder" from my Windows host into my Linux VM via VMware).

I found two ways to fix it. One is to download the file you need directly to your system and use it. The other was to copy the mounted folder and change the permissions like this:

cp -a /mnt/hgfs/{your_shared_folder} ~/folder_copy/
chmod -R 755 ~/folder_copy

After that, docker-compose -f file.yml up worked for me, and my Postgres container is up and running as expected

Sorry for the late response. Yes, what @Tadeoh said, this looks like a permission problem on the share. We should move to named shares that should solve most of these issues.
