Oops, this got lost in my notifications.

I'm not a maintainer of this so I can't speak for the project, but my guess for the "what is this repository" question would be: it's nothing special really, it's just the version control for the website (and the source for GitHub Pages). No different than any other open source project, really.

Re: "what is this project", it's a new way to manage open source projects that maintainers can adopt. The website hopefully does a decent job of explaining this (if it doesn't, that'd probably a bug).
