Description
In my session yesterday, some strange, probably unwanted, interactions that I wanted to document here, to get @brianfeister and @istabosz opinions on this:
-
From Finishing Blow: > When you suffer a damaging attack while unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to defend yourself, the attack counts as a finishing blow and may cause immediate death.
The way this is written it would exclude Persistent Damage, as it is no attack. But that could be easily fixed. -
Incapacitated into *Finishing Blow circumvents fail-safe mechanisms like Divine Agent and Die Hard, because Finishing Blow never mentions going to 0 HP, but instead if the Fortitude Save is failed the target dies.
-
Incapacitated (PL 5 and 7) and Finishing Blow have an unspecified interaction with taking damage on what takes place first: Dying or waking up first. It is quite clear to me, but my players were confused, so clarification might be needed.
