usb_gadget doesn't show up in targetcli list

I uncomented it in this line:

Even tried to set path at myself like that:

self._path = "%s/%s" % (self.configfs_dir, "usb_f_tcm")

This is how this directory tree looks like:

The rtslib's author disabled the usb_gadget module several years ago (2013) so I'm not really surprised that now it doesn't work anymore since no one actively maintained it.
I will look at the code to see if I can find out what's broken.

Hi, I don't understand the problem you are having, because I uncommented the line you mentioned and usb_gadget immediately appeared in the targetcli output.

The only thing that comes to my mind is: is it possible that you are uncommenting the line by modifying the fabrics.py file AFTER you installed the package?
I mean, are you modifying this file? /usr/lib/python3.12/site-packages/rtslib/fabric.py ?

If yes, be careful that there is another one perfectly identical that you should modify:

/usr/lib/python3.12/site-packages/rtslib_fb/fabric.py

That said, this tcm_usb_gadget kernel driver didn't see any development activity during the last 10 years! Wondering if it still works....

Hmm... Possible that I was doing exactly what you mentioned. Let me try test that today.
