Mosaic dimension in specification

Hi, I'm working with tiled images with the "mosaic" dimension (corresponding to the stage position of a tiled large image without stitching). As far as I see from the current specs (Editor’s Draft, 31 January 2023), the only way to explicitly store those images is to use the transitional 3.2. "bioformats2raw.layout". I'm wondering if I'm getting this point correct, and in that case, if something corresponding to this dimension will be included in the specification in near future. Thanks!

@yfukai if it's still relevant: I think the correct way to do this now (or in the near future, respectively) is the Scene metadata. This would allow you to store all the tiles separately in a flat zarr hierarchy and add a bit of metadata on the root level (see RFC5 near-future state) that knows where which tile is located.

Hi thanks @jo-mueller for your comment! This summer, I talked with @bogovicj, and he kindly showed me a draft that is now RFC-8. I'm looking forward to seeing both get merged into the spec.
