Should labels paths point to multiscale images?

The labels section of the specification simply says:

The special group "labels" found under an image Zarr contains the key labels containing the paths to label objects which can be found underneath the group:

It's not clear what label objects are though - "label objects" is not mentioned elsewhere in the specification. Should this be changed to say labels paths should point to multiscale images (with unsigned integer dtypes?)
