Relicense QBash to BSD?

This is a very interesting project, which I'd like to use as part of the open source Spyder IDE. Would it be possible for you to relicense it as BSD or MIT so that we can use it in our project?

Please consider my petition carefully because if you accept, your work would be used by thousands of people (we have about 20.000 downloads per month). But don't worry, I'd be in charge of maintain it :-)

My sincere apologies for the late reply.

In case it is still relevant: I have no personal objections against
re-licensing QBash as BSD or MIT but cannot do it legally because it
imports PyQt (which is GPL). If you know a way around this problem,
and still need QBash, then I am happy to re-license it.

There is no problem with a project being BSD or MIT licensed, if it just imports PyQt4. There would be a problem if the project redistributes PyQt4 and at the same time modifies some of its source files, but uses another license than GPL.

A couple of examples:

1. Spyder is licensed MIT and uses PyQt4 all over the the place.
2. IPython uses PyQt4 for its Qt frontend (called qtconsole), and it's licensed BSD.
