Support for Pyodide #1
Description
Since Google Colab is a very convenient, but proprietary option for testing these notebooks, it would be good to at least mention the existence of open alternatives.
For instance, I am aware of BinderHub and I think that the samples should run right away on MyBinder.
Also of interest is Jupyter Lite (a.k.a. Pyodide engine), which runs the code completely in the browser. I've copied your notebooks here to try it out on our test instance at jupyterlite.schoolofdata.ch - as featured in 🎄 Open Data Advent Calendar 2023 🎄
However, since the requests library unfortunately does not work yet with https, plus there are CORS restrictions to think of, the sample code would ideally use a locally hosted copy of the data. Would love to hear your thoughts, or any other alternatives you know.
