Project Generator / Project ofGen

An ofxImGui (develop branch) based desktop app.

• ofworks script could build the PG binary after install process.

• It could generate (after selecting from available options) just a recipe of.yml file,
  and then (after ui button click 'create/update') runs directly an ofSystem command line for processing the generated recipe calling:

ofGen of.yml

library yaml-cpp is available on ofWorks core (ofGen uses it) so it should be easy to load / write configurations as needed

Could you create, isolate or expose some methods in ofGen code to be directly called by UI widgets callbacks?

To import easily a .h from ofGen into the frontend app project.

Example:

Or to get the text command line to be called in PG frontend using an ofSystem command line.

Same and centralised in one single place by your side. Then we will not need to update frontend/backend twice...
Not for the OS dialogs (open folder..), drag folder feature etc (this can be on frontend side), but for calling the ofgen command line, read available options/targets etc...

Also for a listing of available templates and ofxAddons to populate the dropdown list / toggles list:

Template lists for current platform (or other crosscompiling): Xcode, VS code, Zed, CLion, etc...

I'm all about using a Frontend if you don't mind it is a separate script (easy to run) not built by default for now. what do you think?

Nice. a browser based IDE has only two advantages.
it can "bleed" drop downs outside of the window if needed, but it is not the case here, it uses some kind of framework for GUI.
And it can have the exact same design language as the website (not the case here either).
There are better than Electron options like Tauri or Neutralino,
and others still better that you can embed directly in c++ like https://github.com/webview/webview

But ofxImGui can be the best one since it will be well understood for more OF users

I've just pushed an experimental thing to ofGen, so it can spit out yaml for this kind of queries.

parameter will change but it will serve for testing
if you call ofGen from a valid project path with this parameter
ofgen yaml-addons-ls
