the building_class is not explained in the documentation, the issue has occurred before and the links provided were not to be found.

I assume these are the classes of TABULA. But before anybody can confirm that, I would rather not add that to the documentation. (At least the number of different classes matches when you consider the time the feature was implemented. As of today, there is an additional class.)

I had a look at the definition of the TABULA classes that are probably what the "building class" means. They are defined as follows:

1. construction year 1859 and before
2. construction years 1860 to 1918
3. construction years 1919 to 1948
4. construction years 1949 to 1957
5. construction years 1958 to 1968
6. construction years 1969 to 1978
7. construction years 1979 to 1983
8. construction years 1984 to 1994
9. construction years 1995 to 2001
10. construction years 2002 to 2009
11. construction year 2010 and later

For a given annual demand, the curves are very similar. However, buildings with a higher class have a tendency that they have more consumption in summer and less in winter. (Class 11 does not follow that scheme, though. It is between class 3 and 4.) Still, at least the order agrees with what I would expect. (Also, if the database is based on real-world data, the newer buildings might still have had to be heated more to dry them.)
