Pretty cool stuff here. Perhaps allowing random generation using common patterns to get things started might be useful. Then we could save individual channel patterns into a database and future randomizing would draw from those as well. just a thought. Could get even crazier going by Genre. AI could help build patterns

For Ambient we could use slower playback speeds like 1:1 2:1 up to 16:1

As it is text based, anybody can keep his/her patterns into a text file for later use. Hence database is a good idea, but not a priority for now.

The lower playback is definitively easy to implement. I would personnally prefer to use the sequencer for anything above 1/4, but why not...
