Dialog boxes are empty and cannot be closed (Linux)

"New File" and "Confirm Exit" (Save/Don't Save/Cancel) dialog boxes appear on Linux with only the application icon, window border, and a tiny empty interior space. The box appears to be empty and is not resizeable, and buttons such as minimize/maximize/close are not accessible. This renders the IDE much less useful, because new files cannot be created.

Steps to produce (on Ubuntu Studio 18.10 with KDE Plasma 5.13 desktop):

1. Open a project in Nightcode.
2. Click the "New File" button.
3. The dialog box doesn't work and has the issues/attributes described above. :-(

Howdy, I haven't forgotten this issue, I just need to set up a linux VM to test it out. Chances are there is something wrong with JavaFX as usual. If you have a chance, can you try the JAR version of Nightcode? I wonder if it behaves differently than the deb version.

A-ha! I think I was using openjdk to run the app. Would that mess up javafx?

Should be fine as long as you have the openjfx package installed, but I'll need to try the latest ubuntu to see what the problem is.

When I first ran the program I had forgotten to install openjfx, but after installing it, I still had the same problem.

I just released 2.7.0 which uses JavaFX 11. Please try it out and let me know if it works for you now:

Didn't fix it for me, here's the photo:

You can see the tiny little dialog box in the middle of the screen. Also note that the titlebar of the main window is misaligned and missing some buttons. I also noted that the application becomes unresponsive and has to be force closed at this point.
