Support for Multi-Architecture Images?

I was wondering if there was anything on your roadmap in terms of pushing multi-arch images to ECR. It appears to be a push for the manifest/index image, then one for every architecture supported:

We don't have any plans at this time, but happy to accept PRs.

This uses crane from github.com/google/go-containerregistry to avoid use a docker daemon.
I imagine you would have to translate from the link above to crane functionality.
Since crane relies on standard Docker APIs, there should be a way to do this.
