Storytel Gen 1 - F-droid installed but no apps are listed

I have Storytel Reader Gen 1. I've been able to add F-droid to the reader, but the F-droid doesn't list and apps. The reader is connected to the WiFi.

I suspect the issue is that F-Droid switched their servers to a TLS version which isn't supported by the very old Android 4.2 on the gen 1 device. Not sure what can be done about that.

Did you happen to get this working? I'm facing the same problem.

Nope - spent some time looking at different alternatives but as we don't have access to the system itself it's not possible to fix.

Challenged the vendor and after many emails back and forth they decided to replace the unit.

Possibly same issue on Gen 2 device. F-Droid does not list categories / applications.

Swiping down for updating the repo in F-Droid and error notice is shown:

F-Droid: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException:
Trust anchor for certification path not found

For now installing APK's via ADB..
