Gen 2 not working for some reason.

Hello,

I love the idea of modding the Storytel reader and I really appreciate it since there is barely any information about this device. But whilst trying to mod my reader, at first could not get into maskrom mode, but after installing the boot (or whatever it was) using Zadig, it permanently got stuck on maskrom mode. Whenever I try to get into recovery mode, it doesn't happen. I always get into maskrom mode and I do not know how to fix this.
I'm a bit worried I have already messed up, and after doing this i noticed that it happened because of the USB cable I was using. I am wondering though of there is some way to reverse this. If I have already ruined my reader then... gg I guess.

Anyways, onto the bigger issue.

Whenever I try to mod my reader, everything works fine. Every code I have put into my mac terminal (I switched from my PC to my Mac because my PC wasn't working) has worked fine. It has all gone smoothly... until the end. I am entirely new to coding and stuff, so I might be doing something wrong. I cannot enter F-droid into my gen 2 Reader though. Whenever I try to "Patch 2nd generation boot partition" it says that the access is restricted. I cannot do whatever the code is supposed to do. I tried to proceed though because I don't know what I am doing. After this I tried downloading F-droid, but apperantly the last bit of code at the bottom doesn't even exist. Like, the terminal says it doesn't exist. I am stumped and I don't know what to do. I hope I have ruined anything. I do not understand any of the words from the post but I have tried my best to follow it. If you need a recording I could try and provide a recording. If you need any other information I would provide it. I just really need help because I would love to have more customazation on my Storytel reader.
