Play images from a directory

It would be nice to be able to play images from a server side directory, eliminating the need to hard code a list of filenames in the html. Of course this brings up the question of which order to load/play them in (filename, date, reverse sort, etc.).

^^ This would be an incredibly helpful feature for me as well. We are putting construction images on an FTP server and I'm going to try to utilize this cool player if I'm able.
I wouldn't expect Mr. Abeykoon to write all the code to do this, but if he (or somebody else) could explain in a few sentences how to accomplish this, I would be very appreciative.

You can simply do this using few lines of server side code. For example in PHP;

$files = glob("images/*.{jpg,png,gif}", GLOB_BRACE);
if(count($files)) {
    foreach($files as $key => $file) {
        if ($key < 10) {
            echo '<img src="' . $file . '" alt="' . $key . '" >';
        } else {
            echo '<img data-src="' . $file . '" alt="' . $key . '" >';
        }
    }
}

Note that it dynamically loads images after 10th. Also the file path should be publicly accessible or you may need to tweak it to get the proper URL. Have fun!
