Stakeholder Verification/Validation for ngVLA (before ngVLA antenna)

Tests by/with ngVLA stakeholders on all components required for ngVLA prototype antenna commissioning and/or construction. These tests must be completed before a physical prototype antenna is actually available.

• Test of ‘panel’ using simulated ngVLA primary beams with/without a known (virtual) panel displacement. This could allow verification against a known truth value, before a physical ngVLA antenna is available.
• Stakeholder validation of LOCIT, possibly with the VLA, to demonstrate correctness for the observing mode in which the ngVLA prototype antenna will be connected.
• Stakeholder validation of near-field / far-field holog, possible with ALMA, to prepare for use with the ngVLA.
