And yes it does flawlessly including decryption.
When a user has set is screen lock as pattern, The decryption on TWRP asks for a password instead of a pattern to be entered. The password corresponding would be -
000 123
000 456
000 789
The zeroes here represent the pattern (3x3) and the numbers on the left represent the number to be entered.
So if a user has a L-shaped pattern, The password to be entered is - 1478
Instead of asking for a password, If a pattern is asked then it would be easier for the user.
